David Fernandez:

David's 30-year career spans roles at industry giants such as BlackBerry, Microsoft, Huawei, Meta, and Google. At Google, he spearheaded the global rollout of Rich Communication Services (RCS), transforming enterprise messaging across multiple regions . His strategic insights have been instrumental in advancing business messaging technologies on a global scale, and is also an expert at bringing GenAI into messaging tech platforms

Genesis of Messaging Advisory:

Louis and David's professional paths first crossed at Meta, where they engaged in strategic discussions with global telecom carriers following the launch of the WhatsApp Business API in 2018. Their collaboration deepened after being reintroduced by James Brown, a business messaging expert, during an Infobip panel in Chicago in June 2024. The panel focused on the impending expansion of RCS, catalyzed by Apple's announcement to support RCS on iOS by September 2024. There was a boat cruise that evening where the idea for Messaging Advisory was born.

One of their early collaborative projects involved assisting SimpleHuman in testing RCS against SMS on the Infobip platform, yielding impressive results. This success underscored the potential of RCS in enhancing customer engagement and solidified the foundation for Messaging Advisory's mission.
